If you do any sort of image manipulation using photo editing software (such as Photoshop / Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, etc.), and you desire to sharpen your images...ALWAYS perform the sharpening action LAST. That way you won't ruin the effects of the sharpening via other actions performed on the image.
